‘Womanity – Women in unity’ is a weekly gender-based talk radio programme that campaigns for progress and development amongst women in Africa and aims to celebrate prominent and ordinary African women’s milestone achievements in their ongoing struggle for liberation, self-emancipation, equality, human rights, democracy and socio-economic class division . The programme is produced and presented by Dr Amaleya Goneos-Malka and broadcast on several radio stations across Africa (see list below).
Dr. Amaleya Goneos-Malka was born in South Africa, grew up in Zambia, was educated in England and in 1998 returned to South Africa. She holds a PhD in Marketing Management addressing digital platforms from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. MBA from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and BSc degree in Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and Royal Holloway, University of London, England. She was awarded three Post-doctorates in Business and Communication Management focusing on the translation of consumer insights into digital marketing practices, mobile platforms… from the University of Pretoria, and is currently doing a second PhD on platform-based businesses in the networked economy, addressing customer experience in e-commerce through artificial intelligence in the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment & IT at the University of Pretoria.
