I’m Dr. Amaleya Goneos Malka. For the last 11 years, I’ve been privileged to produce and present a radio program, called “Womanity, Women in Unity,” which is a platform dedicated to women’s empowerment, gender equality, and everything in between.
Reflecting on these years, it has been inspiring to host guests who have lit the torch for others to follow. Each episode of Womanity has taught me that behind every successful woman is another woman who inspired her—be it a mother, grandmother, aunt, or mentor.
These women may not be the icons featured on our show — trail blazers that have shattered glass ceilings to become presidents, ministers, CEOs, or stars recognised across continents — they are the unsung heroes, who’ve nurtured dreams and helped shape history.
Every woman has a voice that deserves to be heard. The essence of women’s empowerment lies in sharing the hard-earned knowledge and wisdom gained through dedication, perseverance, and often, tears.
