This week on Womanity-Women in Unity, Dr. Amaleya Goneos-Malka talks to Prof. Nasima Carrim, from the Department of Human Resources at the University of Pretoria. Prof. Carrim’s research interests include diversity management; specifically topics related to culture, religion, gender in management, identity and intersectionality. We discuss some of her ethnic identity studies covering generational attitudes towards traditional and modern value systems and the impact on women’s professional career development. We reflect on her research into Indian female breadwinners and cultural power in their families.
