This week we are joined by Ms Dikeledi Phillistus Magadzi – Parliamentarian, Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Transport and member of the ANC National Executive Committee. We discuss Transport’s broad remit extending from maritime and aviation to road and rail; highlight career options available to women in this traditionally male-biased sector; and stress the need for women to widen their scope of thinking when considering their choice of profession and not restrict it to female typecast roles. When considering factors of success we emphasise the importance of a positive state of mind, seeking out achievers and modelling their behaviour, and making meaningful differences in others lives.
