This week we are joined by Ms Phumuzile Ngwenya-Mabila – Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Rural Development and Land Reform, and Member of Parliament for the African National Congress (ANC). We discuss key priorities of the Portfolio Committee on Rural Development and Land Reform in relation to: land reform and development, improving service delivery in rural areas, land redistribution and female beneficiaries. We consider gender transformation in the workforce and tools to acceleration this process, such as legislation and education. We acknowledge that careers options for women have diversified, emphasise that people must actively seek out opportunities, and note the need for women to support other women to help them prosper.
