Minister of Women South Africa: Susan Shabangu

This week we are joined by South Africa’s Minister of Women in the Presidency Susan Shabangu. Our conversation delves into the importance of female leadership addressing the critical role it has played and continues to exert in shaping South Africa across social, political and economic spheres. We highlight some of the factors that advance the interests of women, both socially and economically, such as legislation and empowerment through education and upskilling, but note on a cultural level that women need to identify ways of dealing with patriarchy to break traditions that hinder their progress.
