Former Minister for Agriculture & Land Affairs; Public Works South Africa: Thoko Didiza

This week we are joined by Ms Thoko Didiza House Chairperson in the National Assembly of Parliament in the Republic of South Africa (former Minister for Agriculture and Land Affairs as well as former Minister for Public Works – RSA). Reflecting on the political gains and rights that women in South Africa have today we retrace the journey of women’s movements, with the mobilisation of the women’s coalition, the necessity of women to work collectively to advance their interests and to establish measures that ensure current achievements are built upon. In the process instruments have been established as well as progressive legislation to support women. We consider some work place dynamics from system changes to leadership styles in pursuit of diversity and greater inclusion of women in the economy. Tune in for more
