This week we talk to Elana Meyer, former South African long-distance runner and Olympic medallist. We discuss some of the factors that contributed to her success in athletics, effectively tools of life. These range from discipline, dedication, persistence, external enablers and a driving passion for people to pursue their chosen paths. We consider elements that contribute to gender equality; such as socialising girls to believe in themselves and the possibility to do anything, as well as the need for women who have walked the road to success to share their journey with younger women, serving as role models to assist youngsters in road forward.
