Minister of Social Development and Former Minister of Small Business: Lindiwe Zulu

Due to South Africa’s nationwide lockdown in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, this week we will be running a re-broadcast of our previous show with the former Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Lindiwe Zulu, who is currently serving as South Africa’s Minister of Social Development. This week we are joined by Lindiwe Zulu, South Africa’s Minister of Small Business Development. Our conversation reflects the Department’s priority targets of youth, people with disabilities and women (in particular) for small medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs), and the need to create environments for SMMEs to thrive through skills development, financial support and markets for these operations. We emphasise the importance of educating women to endow them with the requisite skills to contribute meaningfully to all sectors of the South African economy. We recognise that today women have many more opportunities than their predecessors did, but to take full advantage of these benefits requires effective planning. Tune in for more…
