This week we talk to South Africa’s International Women’s Springbok Rugby Sevens award winning player Chané Stadler. Women’s Sevens Rugby is a growing sport, and the South African team is on the ascent to success, recently proving their world class performance by winning both the Hong Kong and Rome tournaments on the international circuit. We discuss some of the strategies used to strengthen team cohesion both on and off the field. At the individual level we consider the importance of a positive attitude and confidence for a person to achieve their ambitions and overcome negative setbacks, emphasising that women must believe in themselves more.
