Miss SA 2019 – Zozibini Tunzi

This week we talk to reigning Miss South Africa 2019 Zozibini Tunzi about the 2019 Miss SA pageant, and some of the responsibilities associated with being Miss SA, such as being a voice for women, serving as a role model and representing South Africa in the global arena. We discuss Miss SA as a platform for women’s empowerment. We talk about the role of campaigns driving awareness about women’s issues, such as gender-based violence, and the need to move forward into action to make a tangible difference in the lives of women. We recognise education as tool for independence to propel women forward. We reflect on some of the factors that have contributed to Zozibini’s success, such as resilience, resourcefulness and resetting goals in the face of unfavourable circumstances. Tune in for more…
