Pilots: Captain Jane Trembath and First Officer Annabel Vundla from South African Airways

This week’s episode of Womanity – Women in Unity, is dedicated to the March Sitting of the Permanent Committees of the fifth Parliament of the Pan-African Parliament which will takes place from 27 February to 07 March 2020 at the Gallagher Estate (Midrand) South Africa. These sittings will be held under the African Union’s theme for 2020: “Silencing the guns: creating conducive conditions for Africa’s development.” Next week we will hear from country representatives at the Pan African Parliament about key takeouts from some of the committee sittings.  For this reason, we celebrate the success of two exemplary female pilots who broke every glass ceiling possible, from flying Boeing 747-400s, to flying all female crewed flights, even serving as Nelson Mandela’s personal pilot.  Tune in for more…
