Award Winning Musician: Wanda Baloyi

This week we talk to award winning musician Wanda Baloyi. We discuss some of the landmarks in her career, which started osmotically when she accompanied her father to studio, but officially launched with her debut group Ghetto-Luv to her latest upcoming project that delves into her roots. We recognise the important role musicians play in society as influencers, sometimes positively, other times negatively, but maintain that the interpretation of the message rests in the ears of the listener. We note the imperfections and disparity that persist for women, emphasising the need for women to find social and economic independence in order to gain their voice.
